From the parking lot to the shrine, you cross this suspension bridge. It is amazing to think that it was built for the shrine.

The footing of the bridge is a stairwell where you can see the bottom, and it sways every time you walk on it, so considering its height and length, it was scarier than the Kazura Bridge in Shikoku.

After proceeding for a while from the bridge, you will see a torii gate. The torii gate is blue, which is rare in Japan, because it represents a deity related to water.

The main shrine (torii) faces east. According to feng shui, it is a blue dragon, and its placement seems to have been well thought out.

There was a large waterfall at the back of the main shrine, and a shrine of Suijingu Shrine was set up and dedicated to the Dragon God. It is a rare place where one can see the waterfall right in front of one’s eyes.

Manager’s Comments

I visited the shrine because of the unusual blue torii gate, but the bridge is hard to maintain and the shrine is uninhabited…I wonder why they built it here. It is a nice and quiet place, but there are not many worshippers and the atmosphere is a little sad even on a sunny day. I think it would be a wonderful place if more worshippers came, so please come and visit. I wanted to visit the nearby Hayakawa Shrine, but I had no luck this time.
