Sakurai Shrine enshrines the god of purification and is worshipped as a god to ward off bad luck. Since the shrine also enshrines the deity of Futamigaura, Sakurai Futamigaura, it is also revered as a god of conjugal bliss and marriage, and is visited by many young women. Futamigaura is also called “Suzu Iwa” in ancient times, and has been worshipped as a clean sacred rock. This underwater torii gate was erected on April 25, 1968 as the torii of Sakurai Shrine, taking into consideration the fact that white is a pure color and that the scenery should not be spoiled.

The place is full of couples, couples and women, and a single man needs to be brave. I wanted to see the sunset, but due to the location, only locals or tourists who plan to stay overnight are privileged to see it!
