【Summary】

Sugajinja (Suga Shrine) became famous as one of the sacred places (featured in the last scene) of the animated film “Kimi no na wa” (Your Name). It has been located in Yotsuya since the beginning of the Edo period and is the town deity of Yotsuya Juhachikacho. It is said that Suga Shrine began in 1634 when the Inari Shrine in Shimizudani, Akasaka Ikkimura, was moved to Yotsuya for the construction of the outer moat of Edo Castle.

I felt that there were not many visitors to the shrine, perhaps due to the movie. However, I had the impression that there were many foreigners. The shrine is not very spacious, but the building is magnificent and solemn, so I hope you will visit the shrine.
