Osaka Castle was built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Toyotomi Hideyoshi was a military commander of the Warring States and Azuchi-Momoyama periods from the end of the 16th century to the beginning of the 17th century, who unified Japan.

Once inside the castle, it is modernized and visitors can take an elevator up and enjoy a panoramic view of the city of Osaka from the keep. Also inside are historical exhibits and a museum.
